Excentrique Rhythms
Excentrique Rhythms is the stage name of two Dutch dance producers: Edwin Handigman and Edwin Machielsen. In the 1980s, Edwin Machielsen was actively creating dance mixes for Dutch radio. His work was featured in prominent programs such as De Soul Show and Dance Tracks. In addition to his mixes, he later became involved in the founding of the underground record label E-Motion Records, where he also released some of his own tracks. Edwin Handigman, hailing from Amsterdam, grew up in the rap and hip-hop scene of the early 1990s. Through these circles, he came into contact with the founders of the now-legendary cult record label Outland Records from Amsterdam. Through them, he became one of the studio musicians for this label. He released several records on the Outland Label, as well as on many other underground dance labels. Through Anacalypto Records, a request was made to re-release some works, which are still played in the dance world to this day. These were tracks by both Edwins. The music was recovered from old DAT tapes, and in the process, old demo pieces were also found that had never been released. The Edwins were so enthusiastic about these rediscovered pieces that they decided to develop them into full tracks using today's technical possibilities. The rest is history. A new label and a new artist duo were born, and they have already released several productions. More Info
