Nino Wenger
Nino Wenger – First Light
With First Light, Swiss jazz saxophonist Nino Wenger transforms memories of a formative year in New York into a vivid musical statement. Supported by a Fulbright scholarship, Wenger studied at New York University, where challenge, discovery, and personal growth shaped his artistic voice. After technical problems made his original recordings unusable, he chose not to recreate them, but to retell the experience from a new perspective. The album blends acoustic jazz, atmospheric textures, electronic colors, and moments of rock-like intensity. Rooted in spontaneous quartet interplay, First Light explores encounters, community, transformation, and the power of listening.
