MrGrey
Born on 21 October 2005, Kamogelo Prince Nights , professionally known as MrGrey, is a South African producer and artist from Pretoria, KwaMhlanga. His musical journey began in 2014 on his father’s dying laptop after watching his father create Kwaito music at home — a moment that quietly shaped his future forever.
Originally inspired by Hip Hop, MrGrey later found his sound through the emotional depth of Amapiano, heavily influenced by artists like Vigro Deep, while Nandipha808 became the spark that truly awakened his artistry. Today, he creates a unique fusion of soulful Amapiano, Afro House, and atmospheric EDM, blending hard-hitting log drums with emotional chord progressions, ambient vocals, and cinematic build-ups designed to touch souls beyond the dancefloor.
With a vision to evolve Amapiano and push it onto a global stage, MrGrey creates music for different parts of the world while staying rooted in South African rhythm and culture. His sound is built to connect people across languages, emotions, and borders — combining energy, atmosphere, and soul into one experience.
Driven by emotion and immersive sound design, MrGrey creates music that is not only meant to move people, but to make them feel.
