KayGee De Vee
Khomotso Phalafala, professionally known as Kaygee De Vee, was born in 2003 in
Hammanskraal, Moretele Village, South Africa. He later moved to Pretoria to pursue
his dream of becoming an internationally recognized artist.
Kaygee De Vee began his music journey in 2021 while still in matric, driven by a
passion for creating music and telling stories through sound. In 2023, he officially
introduced himself to the music industry by releasing his debut single wetsalang,
marking the beginning of his professional career.
In 2024, he gained further recognition after releasing “Ko Morago”
, a track featuring
EeQue and Cyto Soul, which helped establish his name in the Amapiano scene.
Throughout his career, Kaygee De Vee has collaborated with talented artists and
producers, including EeQue, Yumbs, Hope Ramafalo, SjavasDaDeejay, and Dolly
Ditebogo, showcasing his versatility and ability to work with some of South Africa’s
rising talents.
Looking ahead, Kaygee De Vee continues to expand his musical catalogue with
exciting new releases. He is currently working on upcoming projects with Vin Tao, DJ
Ayanda, and Flowaboi, promising fresh music that reflects his growth as an artist and
producer.
With dedication, consistency, and a unique sound, Kaygee De Vee is steadily building
his legacy and remains committed to taking South African music to audiences across
the world.
