Vividly charismatic Egyptian soprano Fatma Said has garnered accolades not only for her virtuoso vocal agility and characterization but also for her idiomatic mastery of an exceptionally broad range of styles, extending across the centuries through German, French, Spanish and Italian song and opera, Broadway, jazz, and music from her Egyptian homeland.
Her debut El Nour (2020) was awarded the Gramophone Classical Music Award, BBC Music Magazine Vocal Award and Germany’s Opus Klassik. Kaleidoscope (2022) showcased her versatility across genres, while Lieder (2025) was celebrated as one of the most exceptional Lied recordings of recent years.
Most recently, Fatma Said delivered a remarkable performance at the inauguration of the Grand Egyptian Museum in Cairo, an event of international resonance that marked a historic cultural milestone for Egypt. Highlights of recent seasons include debuts with the Berliner Philharmoniker, Boston Symphony Orchestra, Cleveland Orchestra, the Lucerne Symphony Orchestra and Staatskapelle Dresden, as well as performances at Teatro alla Scala, Staatsoper Berlin, Carnegie Hall, Teatro San Carlo Naples, Gewandhaus Leipzig and Royal Albert Hall.
Beyond the stage, Fatma Said is deeply committed to social causes. She has represented Egypt at the United Nations in Geneva, and appeared at the Global Citizen Live concert alongside Sir Elton John and Ed Sheeran.
Her highly anticipated new album, The Pyramids Recital, will be released in October 2026.
